More insightful stuff from Zachy.  Below are the rest of the questions we asked Mr. Zachary Joseph to help you all get to know him a bit better:

11) What advice would you give to your 50 year old self?

If you don’t have hair anymore, find a way to grow some again.  Also, try to teleport a hoverboard to your 20 year old self; so he can fly around Lexington and freak people out.

12) If you could hang out with anyone, real or fictional, past or present - who it would be and why?

I would love to hang out with Dan Aurbach of the Black Keys.  He has one of my favorite guitar tones, and he’s one of my biggest musical inspirations.  I think he even owns part of a coffee shop in Nashville!

13) What are you reading right now or plan on reading next?

I’m planning on reading "I, Robot" by Isaac Asimov.  It’s about time for me to have some more Sci-Fi in my life, and I loved his book, "Foundation."

14) Where do you want to travel to next?

I would love to go back to Europe - this time maybe France or England.  I just love the old buildings/castles that have been around for hundreds of years.  That kind of architecture is just so beautiful.

15) Describe one of the items on your bucket list.

I want to sky dive sooooo badly.  The problem is that I have a slight fear of heights from time to time, which makes that wish a little difficult to fulfill.  But, it’ll happen one day!

16) What do you do outside of work?

I love to hang out with friends, watch Netflix, play music, and read -- with an emphasis on the Netflix.  I tear through TV series when I get the chance.

17) If you could be a Superhero what would your name be? Your Powers? Your Supervillain?

I would be Mind-Slinger, the barista with telekinesis.  I would use my powers to make hundreds of drinks at once, all to combat the evil villainess – Lady Canada (formerly known as Alex Canada).

18) Describe your perfect day.

Somewhere with a beautiful view, reading and playing guitar for most of the day.  Maybe eating some awesome ice-cream after a hike or swim around the wonderful landscape.

19) In a perfect world - what would you be doing, where would you be living, what would life be like?

I would definitely be doing something associated with music, whether that be playing it or maybe selling/making guitars.  At the same time, I would definitely want to have a family as well; preferably, someplace where the weather is always nice, my schedule is never rushed, and ice-cream is always free.

20) What makes you fun?

The way I’ll just act completely stupid/funny once I get to know someone.  I’m usually pretty hesitant at first, but after I know you for some time I’m not afraid to be a little ridiculous.

21) If you could only have one meal for the rest of your life what would it be?

BnT Jambalaya.  Every day.  For the rest of my life.

22) How do you unwind from a stressful day?

Relaxing on the couch with some Netflix, comic books, or books that will make me pretty zen.

23) What's your philosophy on life?

You can be a little stupid, but never act completely stupid.

24) What makes you genuinely happy (when you can't help but smile at it)?

It’s probably getting a little repetitive at this point, but when I’m playing/listening to music in a group setting.  There’s a certain connection that forms when music and people are involved, and not many other things give me that same connection.

25) What's your greatest accomplishment?

Meeting Alex Canada.

26) What is one of the most valuable lessons you have learned?

That if you’re ever going to be the person you want to eventually be, you’re going to have to be uncomfortable/unsure with some of the decisions you make on the way.

27) What’s something you would like to do over again?

Travel to Germany!  Those five weeks were so amazing; it was some of the most relaxing and adventurous days I’ve ever had.

28) What's your go-to entertainment right now?

Watching “Portlandia.”  Reading “Black Science” by Rick Remender (comic book).  Listening to St. Vincent.

29) Who are some of your mentors and why?

Definitely the leaders in my church/campus ministry.  I really enjoy following in the footsteps of those who are grounded in their faith and beliefs.  Also, anyone who is very organized in their schedule and activities.  That’s one area that I’m always willing to grow in.

30) How do you stay informed with everything that is going on in the coffee industry?

JoeBro is my main go-to guy for all things coffee.  But, I also love coming into the shop and making/trying the new coffees as soon as we get them.  It’s fun to read and learn about coffee, but firsthand experience with the beans is an experience you can’t replace.
